First Pacer...after 35 years of waiting

Yes, it's true, I bought my first Pacer today, after wanting one for 35 years.

I worked at an auto rental agency in 1976 that used AMC cars. I remember these cars when they were new, and I always wanted a Pacer.

Today it happened. I found a nice 1977 coupe with a rebuilt drivetrain and fairly decent body. I am the third owner.

I drove it onto the car trailer this morning. When I tried to start it after I got it home, the starter went bad. Sometimes I hate old cars.

I'm excited.

Congratulations! I just got my first one recently and can't get the hood open. Aren't these cars great?

You should come join the AMC Forum at theamcforum.com This place is pretty dead and nobody seems to care about it anymore. I'm trying to round up as many Pacer owners as possible and get us all to an active place!
