This car was in very good running condition until it was parked and left unused on the side of the driveway for years. It had about 38,000 miles on it when we bought it and probably driven no more that 50 miles since, practically all of it the first few weeks after purchase. (It's my car but I have not made the effort to really learn how to drive. Several people had asked if they could buy it but I said no, it wasn't for sale. Didn't even bother to get their contact information because I intended to drive my Pacer someday. But... ) We bought it in 2004 from an elderly couple who lives a few blocks from us. All parts are original, we were told. It is now in pretty bad shape from non-use and exposure to the whims of weather. We have not made any changes to it nor had any repairs done on it.

Greetings, I recently purchased a 1976 Pacer from it's original owner. The car has 112K miles and sat unstarted for 25 yrs.in a garage. Tell me about your Pacer. -When was the last time it was started. -How much rust does it have. -What is the condition of the interior. -Does it have any missing parts. -Is it automatic or manual. -What size engine. -Where in Iowa is it located.
I may be interested in purchasing the car. Do you have a asking price.
Thank you
Kevin

Hi Kevin. I think the last time it was started was about 10 years ago. It's a V6 (at least I'm pretty sure it is. Will tell you for sure when my husband takes a look at the engine maybe tonight.) It's an automatic. I will provide you with more and better pictures later and try to give you a better description of its visual issues, especially the rusting. About missing parts, I honestly don't know what to look for to answer your question. Maybe you can give me a list of the things you want to know are there for sure? (I guess it's easy to tell that I don't know much about cars. ) All I can tell you is that the last time it was driven, it ran like a dream. And the last time it was started, there was no problem at all. The car is in Guthrie County,IA. Please email us at mofitz@iowatelecom.net so I can give you a more exact location and send you more pictures of the car. Thank you for the inquiry.
