Hi All: I have the AMC slotted style 14" aluminium wheels for my '76 DL and want to buy new Goodyear Eagle raised letter tires. I would like to use a wide P235/60 R14, but I fear they be too wide for either front ot rear. Can I use this size? Or would I need to go narrower tire, like a P225/60 or P225/70? Please advise. Thank you!

You can use the 235 60 on 6" rims... it will work... the 70 series is taller and maybe rub on the fender lip molding.. 30 years ago I ran (4) 14x7 Torino 5 spoke wheels, had amc center caps and beauty rings with 245-60x14 they rubbed alittle but I manged to alter the situation and it was fine.
