Wiper switches are the same for all years, but there are two types, depending on whether you have the delay wiper setup.
The slider to control the delay is what usually wears out, so another used one is probably as likely to be defective as yours is.
The good news is that these switches are almost identical to the ones used in many Ford applications, including E-150 Econoline vans from 1975-91. The only difference is the placement of the mounting ears that attach the switch to the back of the dash panel. You will have to swap the metal front plate from your old switch to the new one. It is attached by tabs that bend around the plastic body of the switch. Carefully bend the tabs back to release the body from the front plate. Don't lose the spring and ball bearing from inside the switch. Do the same on the new switch, then attach the old plate to the new body, bending the tabs back into place.
This procedure works with both intermittent and non-intermittent wipers, but you can't convert from one to the other, as the slot for the slider is longer on the intermittent version.
These switches are about $30 from any auto parts store; it might even be in stock.
Replacement part numbers include GP Sorensen DS132 for the intermittent version, and DS133 for the non-intermittent version.
