Hey im kinda new to the amc community and im still young. Im not quite 18 yet and decided i wanted to do sumthing a little dif. so im not sure why in gods name i decided to buy a pacer but i did i mean its a little rough but the floor pans in it are good the frame rails are rust free and the body is in fairly good condition. Now its a 75 pacer x. So far for sure i need a windshield, pull switch for the lights. Also if anyone has any ideas for rearends because sumone before me had the hubs pulled off and never tightened them near what the needed to be and i was playing with it spinning the tires and turned the splines off of the axle and broke the key in the hub. So i need a rear thats gonna take a beating lol im still young. I would also like ur imput on motors because i was thinkings of using a small block chevy like 350 or even building a 383 out of one but my dad said like 340 360 390 or 401 so idk let me know what u think. thanks guys later josh

ok i assume that over the years that windshield would have been the same so is there any scratches or fogging in the windshield? if not please leave me a price. I also need the soft dash pad if anyone has any good ones because on mine right above the glove box it pulled up due to exposure to sun light. I found a rear for it. I got a ford 9" posi out of a full size bronco for 50 bucks in good condition. however i still need a big motor and the switch to turn the lights on.

I have a blue and red dash pad with no cracks. I'm in IL.
I think you are doing the right thing by putting in a Ford 9, especially if you are putting in a bigger motor. The Bronco should fit nicely.
I suggest you use a 350 Chevy. Easy to work on, easy to build and wire. Lots less expensive than a 360 or 401.
Good luck!
