Anybody got a rear end from a V-8 car?
I am told no gears are available for the v-6-powered rear ends and want to put some 4:10's in one of my pacers.
I'm in IL.
Thanks-

I have a complete AMC 20 rear end out of a 1979 V-8 Pacer wagon. $150.00 I am located in Colorado. I will strap to a pallet if you arrange shipping from zip 80501 it's a buisness with access to a forklift to load.

Thanks, but I'll pass on this one for now.
Good luck!

With a stock 6 cyl,, the 232/258 dont like RPM.. unless built for such, and the 4:10 V8 gears would be pushing the 6cyl to the limit,,( maybe your oval tracking ?),, the 7-9/16 comes in 3:31 from earlier AMC s that can be setup in your 6 cyl assy. Just a thought!!!!

I had considered a small block Chevy or possibly V-6 CHevy/GM. I have a 3.8 available.
Yup, planning on doing some racing and need more low end speed.
On another Pacer I plan on swapping out the AMC distributor and boxes for a Chevy HEI ignition. This is a Jeep trick using a 250 Chevy dist and 304-401 V-8 AMC gear on the bottom. I can get rid of all the boxes and modules that have plagued me. That hotter spark may help the 258 run more efficiently.
