Hi folks; I'm new here to this board and need some help!! next door to me is a 1976 pacer cpe. like brand new 1 owner 48,000miles on it. I need to know about what this car is worth. I've been asked if I would like to buy it and have no idea what it's worth.. Really a clean 1 owner car back seat never sat on. always been here in New Mexico so never any rust AT ALL. 6cyl. auto.,p.s. / p/b, a/c ( not working needs to be charged ). thank you all for any and all advice.

Well... that's a pretty subjective thing. The pacer's collectible mostly on novelty/uniqueness/nostalgia. But a good barometer is watching ebay. I've seen most pacers successfully sold for between 1000 and 3000 dollars. It depends on how original and together the car is. The highest I've seen is people bidding on a 76 pacer that only had 7k miles on it. The last I'd seen the price had gotten up to 9000. But you'll be lucky to ever find a car with nothing but a few showroom miles on it.

i paid $750 for my 76.. and the interior was good except for the aztec fabric on the seats.. he originally wanted $1500.. you can always start low and go up.. nothin worse than offering more than the other person was expecting... good luck

Your car sounds alot like mine, mine had 42000 original miles on it when i bought it. it had no rust and fresh paint/windsheild. it had been a stolen car and sat for about 9 years before i bought it (still had the original bias ply tires on it). mine doesnt have air though. i paid 1500 candadian for mine and i still think i got a good deal, wouldnt trade it for anything
